I was reading through my Japanese phrase book today when I came to the conclusion that there is only one phrase that one needs to know in every country one is in:
Japanese: "Toy re wa doko desuka?"
Chinese (Mandarin): 廁所在哪裡?Cèsuǒ zài nǎli?
Chinese (Cantonese): 廁所喺邊度呀? Chisó hai bīn dou?
Spanish: "Dónde está el baño?"
French: "Où es la toilette?
If that doesn't work, you can always use the international language of jumping up and down while looking under duress.
This concludes the Basic Survival Lesson broadcast from Yokohama, Japan.
Mozilla24 Zac Greant : John 1:1 'The Word was at God' Wycliffe's translation of the Bible into middle english made it the most popular of his day. Readable Bible gave the knowledge as a basis for discourse, taking power back from priests who previously controlled religious discussion. Open Source for religion.
Tania & I loooove the TheatreWorks productions and Emma was delightful as always. Don't know if i'll ever get over how the kids wail as we leave the house though....
Lovin' late night snacking on Castro, too. Too bad Lucie Stern is soooo far from downtown Palo Alto, we need to change Stanford Theater to a live theater stage...
